HOW HAVE INSTALLATION ARTISTS USED GANZFELD TO PROMOTE WHOLE-BODY eXPERIENCES IN VISITORS?

As a graphic design student, I became fascinated with how art and design can provoke a real emotional and phycological response dependant on how visual stimuli is used (inspired by such things as colour psychology etc.). this fascination along with a strong desire to explore more outside of my practice brought me into the world of perceptual installation art and how installation artists use the visual phenomenon such as the "Ganzfeld effect" to induce what is known as a full-body or "whole-body" immersive experiences in their viewers through these light and sound-based installations and what precisely a full-body or "whole body" experience is.

The identity of the dissertation revolves around these visual effects explored in the paper and some of the key artists who are spear heading this kind of installation work.
